Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Organic by John Patrick 2010 Spring/Summer Collection
Utilizing two fast-rising Jamaican models, Pulse's Gaye McDonald, and Saint International's Chantal Lee, John Patrick, for his Spring/Summer 2010 collection, creates a Bohemia look of sorts, emphasizing boyish pieces like seersucker jackets and shorts, slouchy cotton skirts and a black twill suit, all of which revealed the designer’s knack for creating utilitarian fashion.
