Appearing topless for Vogue Italia's latest issue, Rihanna channels Grace Jones at her most eccentrically decadent. The "Umbrella" singer posed for photographer Steven Klein for the style bible’s annual couture supplement.

For the 'Extreme Couture' spread Rihanna does futurist punk in PVC boots, teamed with sparkly underwear, sharp shoulders, and with her trademark high hair dangerously sculpted.

In one striking image, she dares to bare in boots, skimpy panties, an open jacket - and little else.

The shoot proves how, in only a few months on the New York party and hipster scene, Rihanna has become something of a fashion icon, known for integrating couture fashion elements into everyday wear.
