Chart-topping singer, songwriter and actor Justin Timberlake is the new face of Play and Play Intense by Givenchy, scents set to debut in the United States this fall. According to the label, JT embodies the PLAY lifestyle that is freedom of action and movement. It's a modern scent that reflects today's man, who is rich in ideas, emotions, intelligence and style. Shot by Tom Munro, the ad campaign is in black and white, and seeks to embody and evoke a high-end lifestyle synonymous with the label.
Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.
