Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Sass & Bide 2010 Spring/Summer Collection
Sass & Bide designers Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke sent a troupe of Eighties-inspired Aztec warriors down the runway. These tough-looking models wore slim black leg warmers and body-concious dresses, heavily embellished with bronze hardware shaped into concentric circles.
