Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Christopher Kane 2010 Spring/Summer Collection
Taking its cues from America’s great Midwest, Kane offered up a collection that was both wholesome and fierce. He toyed with Bardot’s signature gingham, working the pattern on to chiffon and silk in delicate shades of beige, white and pastel blue, while offering some edginess and dare I say toughness with his signature corsetry.
