Sass & Bide Fall/Winter 2010 RTW

In an ultra-feminine and highly embellished fall collection, Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton took inspiration from various sources in world and fashion history.

Evoking the Edwardian era at turns, elements of pre-Colonial societies (Aztecs, Myans) were evidenced in the usage of tribal-esque prints.

Opulence was projected through gorgeous fur accents and gold embellishments here and there, while white and black flowy gowns ably added to the regal nature of the collection.

Mexican elements, (bolero jackets, smartly embellished with mirrors) mixed seamlessly with harem pants, while elsewhere, puff-sleeve lace blouses with embroidery and details seemed to have been inspired by India and Predynastic Egypt.
