Opening with a puffy coat with a giant feather-trimmed hood, Rowley played with feathers and fringe this season, perhaps adapting to the new designer-market reality that high-end customers aren't interested in a lot of glitz. A feather-covered dress surely doesn't come cheap- and is hardly subtle- but blends better than an all-over sequined number at a cocktail party.
Although the collection was largely rooted in black, Rowley did add some colour to the pieces, and colourful pieces, too.
