Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2010
It seems like Galliano has been spending a lot of time at the cinema these days; the references to Tarantino's glorious Inglourious Basterds and Mira Nair's forgotten Amelia were rife- the Eisenhower jackets and bombers, militaristic pencil skirts, and fur-collared coats, all in shades of khaki, olive, and brown, were gorgeous! The Parisian fit and timelessness ensured that the collection never devolved into pastiche, while that silver lamé siren dress is ready for its close-up.
