Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2010

It seems like Galliano has been spending a lot of time at the cinema these days; the references to Tarantino's glorious Inglourious Basterds and Mira Nair's forgotten Amelia were rife- the Eisenhower jackets and bombers, militaristic pencil skirts, and fur-collared coats, all in shades of khaki, olive, and brown, were gorgeous! The Parisian fit and timelessness ensured that the collection never devolved into pastiche, while that silver lamé siren dress is ready for its close-up.
