Christopher Kane Fall/Winter 2010 RTW

Spliced together with black lace and tailoring into a construct of prim and perverted expected only from the likes of Christopher Kane, his fall collection featured some black leather embroidered with some very gorgeous flower patterns.

All the embroidery was done by hand in India, (the Oriental influence is pretty obvious) and the lace-up, high-heeled ankle boots were apparntly inspired by Scottish dancing shoes.

The usual Kane school girl motif was kept in check, but the black leather was a severe departure from the fluid checks and pleats of his current spring range, and sends fashion off on a new path.
