By transforming essential male staples, imbuing them with a little romanticism and whimsy, and adding softer, more palatable touches, designer Raf Simons' menswear collection for the house of Jil Sander was altogether lovely.
Jackets were lengthened, trousers shortened, colours muted, and everything transmogrified into something exotic, but still very city-smart.
