Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

CFW 2009: The Best of the Rest!
Caribbean Fashion Week 2009 was a melting pot for designers, cultures and ethnicities. Nowhere else was this more evident than by the collections of various designers from all over the world. To say I was mostly impressed by the thought that went into the collections, would be a great understatement. I've covered the collections from Shakad, POSHE by Camesha Powell, Jennivi Jordan, The Mushroom, Julan, Claudia Pegus, Nana Boateng and LaMaica Fashions, here is the best of the rest!
From top to bottom: Art on the Run; Catalin Botezatu; Radical Designs; Gavin Douglas; Didi Beck; Mutamba; Mantsho; Riddem Driven; The Cloth; Kokobeenz; Minka; Sandra Kennedy; Moncrieffe; Millhouse; Fashion Entrepeneurs of Trinidad and Tobago; Biggy; 3rd Revolt.
