Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

CFW 2009: The Mushroom
The runway of Caribbean Fashion Week heated up with the swimwear designs from the house of The Mushroom. In scintillating colours, cuts and designs, models paraded in swimsuits that should definitely be a hit this summer (and possibly the next).
Made from lycra and cotton with prints as diverse as zebra stripes, leopard, polka-dots and snake skin; and adorned with sequins and feathers, wearing The Mushroom is sure to gain you added attention at the beach or pool-side.
