Style Icon of the Week!

Best known for playing the role of Michelle Tanner on the sitcom Full House, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have started acting from the unbelievable age of nine months old. Shortly after the end of Full House, they began heavily merchandising their image. They established a company called Dulstar in 1993, with their brand being sold in some 3,000 stores in the United States alone.
In the pre-teen market of the late 90's and early 2000's, their names became an industry, with their likeness seen in clothes, books, fragrances, magazines, movies, posters and fashion dolls made by Mattel.
As the sisters have matured, so too their fashion choices. The New York Times Mary-Kate a fashion icon, and the two have since pioneered their signature Boho-chic look- oversized sunglasses, boots, loose sweaters, and flowing skirts all with an aesthetic of mixing high end and low end pieces.
After their clothing line deal with Wal-Mart for 4-14 year old girls, the two were tapped as the faces for high end label, Badgley Mischka in 2006, before launching their own couture fashion label, The Row.
At only 22 years, the twins have done what many twice their age could only dream of- become authentic style pioneers. Don't take my word for it- pick up a copy of Vogue, Elle or Bazaar and see their pictures all over the glossy pages.

  2. I don't mind their overall style, but they have a tendency to sometimes look homeless..not a good look.

  4. I know it is intended, but that doesn't stop me from not liking it. They take it too far at times. When you see someone and you have the sudden urge to give them a dollar, then something is definitely wrong
