Style Icon of the Week!

Recently included in TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential Persons in the World list, songwriter, record producer, graphic designer, fashion designer and artist Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam, better known by her stage name, M.I.A., has attracted as much attention for her music and art as much as what she wears on her back.
Outspoken on issues of politics and the Third World, M.I.A. hails from London after her family fled from Sri Lanka.
A regular fixture at the New York Fashion Week circuit, and often seen sitting front row and centre, Maya rubs shoulders with the likes of Marc Jacobs.
Influenced by the streets of London, Jamaica and New York, as much as by hip-hop and urban culture, M.I.A.'s style is as loud, edgy, risky and attention-grabbing as her music. Having given birth to her first child, just 2 days after prancing around the Grammy stage, M.I.A. is the flyest mutha in the industry!
