Balenciaga 2010 Resort Collection

While some pieces were obvious attempts at being commercial, Nicolas Ghesquière largely stuck to the roots of Balenciaga (inventive structure) and largely succeeded. His experiments with volume, as seen on a series of printed and embroidered frocks with super-short lampshade skirts, were quite daring, and though familiar to the house, very different than what is being worn; and that's precisely why we love the house.
