Rip the Runway

I'm not a huge fan of Versace. For me, the line can be a bit gaudy, a little tacky, and way too commercial. However, with their 2009 Spring Summer RTW collections (men and womenswear), Donatella and the team seem to put all that behind them, creating sleek, modern, sexy, über-chic pieces.
For this collection, the stress was on angles and strategic cuts. Many pieces stopped well above the knee, and the quality of the clothes was indeed, superior. Adorned by cute 3-D heart shapes, zippers, and summery prints, it wasn't particularly themed as a complete show, but who cares when the show itself was this good?
