Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2011

Picking up a theme from his Fall runway and interpreting it differently for this collection, Stefano Pilati turned the pendant silhouettes he made from old YSL images into bold floral prints, splashing them down the side of a silk dress or across the front of an above-the-knee skirt.

I must say I prefer this collection to that one, though. The clothes, hinting at the seventies, with high-waist trouser suits for day, and floor-scraping skirts for evening, felt more fun and less literal thematically.
