Proenza Schouler Resort 2011

I'm not a fan of Proenza Schouler; i've never been bowled over by their clothes save for maybe one or two collections. In fact, I find their clothes on the ugly side of things. But there was nothing ugly about any of these pieces.

Reportedly inspired by a trip the duo took to India, the clothes felt not only exotic, but urban, fresh and most importantly- now.

Infusing Balenciaga's recent tribalism (evident in what appears to be color-blocking, although on second look it appears to be knitting) and Chanel's classic tailoring, the collection was fab-tastic without being overly showy.

In short- i LOVE it!
