Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Fall 2012: Haider Ackermann
From what i've been reading about this collection, it seemed to have elicited a standing ovation. And really, I can see why. Said to have been inspired by autumn leaves, it was a showcase of painterly beauty with shades of persimmon, burnt orange, lavender, and fiery red.
It was an impressive collection, full of sexuality with the usual awesome Ackermann silhouettes and shapes.
