Working with ideas that could be mundane in other hands- volume, sports, menswear- Nicolas Ghesquière has unsurprisingly turned out the boldest pre-fall collection i've seen so far. He continues to work with high-tech foam, infusing Cristobal Balenciaga's signature curving into skirts here and there. As for the masculine influence, it can be traced in the sloping, oversize shoulders of a jacket laser-cut above the waist.
The most interesting element for me, though, was the tailored pants. The draping was gorgeous, not to mention the the bright tights which I hear will be on sale for under a US$100.
