Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Richard Chai Love Spring 2012
For Richard Chai Love's Spring 2012 collection, it was all about patterns and bright solids, often times paired together. The silhouette was kept loose, at times a bit tailored and masculine, while lips and eyelids were neon and playful.
It was all very effortless and I especially liked a few of the menswear pieces interspersed through-out.

Richard Chai Love Spring/Summer 2011
Brimming with sexual heat (covered up is the new revealed) the collection from Richard Chai Love this afternoon in New York was filled with layers, hardly new as a trend, tweaked and freshened with sheer, sand-colored underpinnings, ribbed cummerbunds and soft, silky running shorts with contrast piping. ilhouettes were loose and flowy, but decidedly feminine thanks to the neutral ral palette and strategic draping.
