Fashion in Jamaica and the region exists, much to my annoyance, almost outside of an international aesthetic. It's my desire, then, to build a bridge between what is innately cultural, and the international industry, all the while highlighting trends and shifts within both spheres.

Designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock have described the Vena Cava collection as what they'd want to wear in Woodstock, after having spent time there recently. Whatever that means, it's transformed into layered shirtdresses, ribbed knit black turtlenecks and high waists on the runway.
